So today we are looking at a Technique using Pastels. Stampin’ Up! has them available in Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple, Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow, Night of Navy, and Poppy Parade. What a choice to get creative.

| Have you added our Soft Pastels to your coloring repertoire? These chalk pastels work with Sponge Daubers, Blending Brushes, and Water Painters to create a lovely, watercolor effect.Our Concept Artist used them to color Basic White Cardstock embossed with the Painted Posies 3D Embossing Folder to create this beautiful floral card. First, she picked up color from the pastels with a Water Painter to color the raised images. Then she used chalk dust from the Night of Navy Soft Pastel, mixed it with water, and splattered the embossed cardstock for a distressed look. So pretty! |
