This month we are featuring projects that are “stepped up” by using textures or fun techniques. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.
I love to sponge my cards to give that special background. This card is no exception and the stamp is perfect with Lovely as a Tree. By using sponging as your technique you are helping the trees to stand out and set the tone.
Base: Lost Lagoon cardstock with layers of black and then white cardstock on top. The Lost Lagoon cardstock anchors the Lost Lagoon in the picture.
Focus: The picture has used Lost Lagoon ink in its’ sponging because it sets the tone with the trees. This card is a sympathy card and so the darker shades work better than the bright colors. I kept the foreground white to give more focus on the trees.
Tips
Stamp Set: Lovely As a Tree, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Color Combination: Lost Lagoon, Basic Black

This is a beautiful use of one of my all-time favorite stamp images. Lost Lagoon is perfect on this card.
Beautiful card. Lovely colors. Sorry it had to be made.
Beautiful card, Pamela! Lovely as a Tree stamp set is such a versatile set, great for most any occasion. I will miss using Lost Lagoon, sorry to see it retire. It looks lovely with the Black on your card.
