Trust In Yourself and Share

Before I bring you today’s card idea,  I want to share something with you.  Several of us stampers were discussing sharing our designs and why people are reluctant to do so.  The standard comment is that “my work is not that good.”   That is nonsense everyone is at a different level so their work will be different.  Our visions are different.  So this why I want to share my journey.  Recently, I was trying to make more space in my studio. Sound familiar? I didn’t like what I found in  my original cards. Anyway it started over 10 years ago with a thing called Circut.  I liked the cutting, but something was missing — the ink.  Along came Stampin’ Up! with its fabulous ink and coordinating paper. I stilled liked my Cricut because I could get 3 D effect.  Stampin’ Up! was in its beginnings of adding framelits and thinlits which gives the 3 D effect.  Now that has all changed—-my Cricut sits in a corner of my room and seldom gets used.  Stampin’ Up! is my faithful partner.  We all change evolve grow as we practice our craft.  So don’t fret, enjoy your hobby and share it.

Each Monday I will be giving you a challenge with a technique/tool to use in your project.   I want you to take a picture of your work and post on my Facebook.    https://www.facebook.com/stampinpinkrose   No one  is going to criticize your work.  After all, stamping is about sharing. So here is your words for the week —– masking and sponge dauber.  An example is a post note with a  circle punched out to give the sun and colored with your sponge dauber.  You will see an example on my Dutch Door Video and that card will make an appearance on Wednesday’s blog hop.

Today I wanted to do something with Stampin’ Up! Botanical Gardens stamp set.   March 6th would have been my mother’s 98th birthday.  Her favorite colors were the purples and navy blue.  Hence, I thought I would move away from my colors (various  shades of pinks) to purples.  So in honor of mother here comes a birthday card with Botanical Gardens.  I love the birthday greeting on Rose Wonder. So I chose to use it.

Now go and create then share.
