Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end.
You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Susan Lankford at Stamp and Create With Susan on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.
I think everyone is tried of winter and is thinking spring. The question is always when we have some days that are warm — Is it here to last? So on that note I have a card just for those thoughts. I used red cardstock for my color base. Next I embossed Arrows with Whisper White cardstock. Add a banner measuring 2 1/2" x 4" with yellow designer series paper from the In Colors and cut a smaller banner measuring 1 1/2" x 3" in Whisper White cardstock. On the white cardstock stamp from the For Peep's Sake Stamp set the single chick with Daffodil Delight.. Then using the Crazy From You Stamp set put together the following words "Thinking of Spring." You will need to cover with Scotch tape "ing of" before you stamp. Once the ink is on remove the tape and stamp on the white banner.. I used Real Red for the words. Adhere both banners together and adhere to your embossed white cardstock. Before you attach this paper, wrap with Coastal Cabana twine. At this point you can adhere to your red cardstock. Add the burlap ribbon which you have cut to 4" in length. I have used glue dots or you can use the double sided tape to adhere it to the card. The final step is to use "You Bright My Day" stamp set for the little houses. Stamp them in black on Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana paper. Punch them out with Punch's Up punch and using a whole punch to punch a circle where the door is located. This makes the houses look like birdhouses. Put in place with glue dots.

I like the way you combined the embossing folder with the houses. Perfect!
