Finish with a sentiment stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Old Olive Cardstock.AVIDTo make the shipshape avid card, die cut postage stamp shapes from Azure Afternoon and Tahitian Tide Cardstock; emboss both shapes using the Cascading Ruffles Embossing Folder, then layer them behind the focal point to create a “wavy” background. Stamp the image in Memento ink, color with your choice of Stampin’ Blends, die cut, then adhere the colored image to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.ARTFULLY AVIDDie cut the image from our Just Kiddin’ Designer Series Paper—the coloring is done for you! Look No Stamp

Today is all about the Designer Series Paper.  Stampin’ Up! offers us such an array of choices.  I went back Flight and Airy Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-bration.  It makes me think Spring.  Then I paired it with a die.  I chose the Deckled Circles to bring focus to the birds in the Designer Series Paper.  I used the reverse side for the background because it was simple and not distracting.

This card allows you to choose what occasion you need the card for.

A reminder that there will be no project on Friday and next Friday as I am on Spring Break.

Weekly Newsletter Mar. 5th

Welcome to my new place for the weekly newsletter.  Today we are looking at a Creative Challenge.  When was the last you used the Embossing Paste? Or maybe you never had.  So take a look and start thinking about how you can use it in your creative project.

Before I present this idea, I need to let you know there will be no Weekly Project this week or next week.  This week is because my assistant has Strep Throat next week I am on Spring Break. It will be back on March 19th with the Weekly Newsletter and Mar. 22nd for the Weekly Project.

Creative Challenge
If you’re looking for a fun creative challenge, look no further—we have one ready for you! This month, our creative challenge involves creating cute designs using Shimmery White finish Embossing Paste. To complete this challenge, we applied a thin layer of Embossing Paste to a panel of Coastal Cabana Cardstock with a Palette Knife. Then we used the stylus attachment on the Take Your Pick™ tool to create a pattern before the paste dried. And that’s it!Try this challenge during March by seeing what you can come up with!
