Thinking Sunshine

I started with 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Melon Mambo and I think yellow goes perfect with the color.  I added Daffodil Delight  paper ( 4" x 5 1/4") which was embossed with Spring Flowers Embossing Folder.   I stamped the flower with Melon Mambo paper and highlighted the marks with my Melon Mambo marker.  This was punched with Flower Medallion Punch.  The center was stamped on Daffodil Delight paper and punched out with 3/4" punch.  I added the Hello from Thinlits Dies in Melon Mambo paper. For inside you could add the word Sunshine from Crazy About You stamp.  Remember all the supplies are Stampin' Up! and remember there is white cardstock behind the colored paper.

Spring ???

Welcome to the March Pals Blog Hop where we are celebrating spring. This month we are featuring spring related projects for Mother’s Day, Easter or any other occasion that celebrates winter coming to an end.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Susan Lankford at Stamp and Create With Susan on the Pals Hop. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all of the amazing creations.

I think everyone is tried of winter and is thinking spring.  The question is always when we have some days that are warm — Is it here to last?  So on that note I have a card just for those thoughts.  I used red cardstock for my color base. Next I  embossed  Arrows with Whisper White cardstock.  Add a banner measuring 2 1/2" x 4" with yellow designer series paper from the In Colors and cut a smaller banner measuring 1 1/2" x 3" in Whisper White cardstock. On the white cardstock stamp from the For Peep's Sake Stamp set the single chick with Daffodil Delight..  Then using the Crazy From You Stamp set put together the following words "Thinking of  Spring."  You will need to cover with Scotch tape "ing of"  before you stamp.  Once the ink is on remove the tape and stamp on the white banner..  I used Real Red for the words. Adhere both banners together and adhere to your embossed white cardstock.  Before you attach this paper, wrap with Coastal Cabana twine. At this point you can adhere to your red cardstock.  Add the burlap ribbon which you have cut to 4" in length. I have used glue dots or you can use the double sided tape to adhere it to the card.  The final step is to use  "You Bright My Day" stamp set for the little houses.  Stamp them in  black on Real Red, Daffodil Delight, and Coastal Cabana paper.  Punch them out with Punch's Up punch and using a whole punch to punch a circle where the door is located.  This makes the houses look like birdhouses. Put in place with glue dots.

Potpourri

Okay, we are down to two and half weeks till Sale-a- Bration ends which means the stamps go away with your $50 purchase..  I hate to see it go.  So we need to start thinking what we do still need to order o we can still get the free items.  I am going to focus on potpourri of different ideas. Hence, different stamps will be showcased here.  Remember when you order $50 you get a FREE stamp, but better yet bring yourself to $99 and you are close two free stamps from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. Plus, you get an extra $26 in free product.  This means you pick $126 of what you want in product. Then you will get 30% off your next order.  Wondering what you need to do to become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator with NO OBLIGATION to continue after 3 months.  I would like to discuss all of this information with you.  So simply call me at 515-225-8948  to discuss this.

Now let's get started on the next project.  I am sad to see Blendabilities is no longer available.  There was a quality issue and Stampin' Up! wants to bring you the highest quality product.  So they have given us 4 new products.  Two are stamp sets —  Nature's Perfection and For Being You.  The other products are Vellum paper and twine and buttons.  The twine and buttons come together.

This card was stamped with Stampin' Up! Nature's Perfection.  Randomly  use the various stamps and stamp around the card.  As usual I had white cardstock under the Soft Sky cardstock.  The marker colors were Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss.   Each of the flowers were stamped in Memento Black Ink and colored in with the markers.  The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzaz Ink.  The butterfly was stamped with Soft Sky Ink  The greeting was from Lovely Amazing You Stamp set. Everything was a Stampin' Up! product.  I will put this under Special Occasions.

   Measurements were 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" for Soft Sky Blue paper

                                     4" x 5 1/4"  for the Whisper White cardstock
