Learn How to Impact Your Design

Hey a fresh week with new ideas I have been designing.  Do you know how to impact your design?  Did you use Wink of Stella?  It has been extremely popular.   I have another great tool to use this week — embossing folder that will be easy to impact your design.  We have a nice selection to use at Stampin’ Up!

Embossing folders add texture and interest to your project.  It doesn’t matter if you are making a card or tag for that treat bag/basket.  You can choose a embossing folder that covers the entire card or frames it around the edge. Some folders will give the feminine touch and others will be more generic.   So come and discover today’s card.

Can you tell I am thinking spring even though the s word is back in the forecast.  Hopefully, we will miss the bulk of the nasty winter.   I think this card is a perfect example of adding interest to the wreath.  Think what it would be like if I set it on a white background.  Yes, I could just add the colored strips, but the color strips on the embossed piece makes it pop. Note the strips are embosed too. Think what you could do to change this card or what you could do with the wreath or the brick embossing folder.  It is time for you create and don’t forget to post on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/stampinpinkrose

Here is What Is Up on Card Fold Friday

DSC_0726 Creative Fold Card

Welcome to Card Fold Friday Video which will help you step it up for your card making.  This is a simple and quick easy to make card to make. Best of all you can put what you want in the square.  Let us take a look!  Afterwards, don’t miss the bonus.

Here are the illustrations to the card with the measurements.  I did you two different directions.  The stamps for this card are Birthday Blooms (I stand corrected as it is not Rose Wonder) and You Are So Lovely.

The insert piece with the flower is 3″x3″.  I chose to cut mine 2 3/4″x 2 3/4″ for the olive green and 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ for the design.  Your card itself is an 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ and fold at 4 1/4″.

This afternoon I went out and got my grandson some Easter things. Still looking for a large bag of grass. Any way I had  made this earlier as one of his candy holders. It is from the French Fry Box.

It Is Time to Celebrate, But Whose Party?

DSC_0714 It's Whose Party

I am back using the It’s My Party Paper.   There is no better way to make a birthday card than using It’s My Party Paper.  Then add the Confetti Textured Embossing Folder and you have a perfect card.  Oh yes, must add the two tone baker’s twine .  This card has the Melon Mambo twine, but I prefer the Mint Macaron twine against the Melon Mambo paper. You will find all these in the Occasions Catalogue.  Remember to order because March 31st to get the FREEBEES because all want to stretch our dollars!

Are you using the tool of the week — Wink of Stella?  I used it on this birthday card.  However instead of clear, I used the Gold Wink of Stella on the candles.  Don’t forget to show your work on my Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/stampinpinkrose

Note: I always use Whisper White as the base for my cards.
