Today I need to get in another design challenge.  This time it is with Global Design Project with an emphasis on color.  Their color choice was Sweet Sugarplum and Night of Navy with Whisper White.  To me the Sweet Sugarplum and Night of Navy are a perfect match.   So I chose to use Gift of Love stamp set which is part of the Host choice.  To keep it delicate I did use Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder which is retired.  You could use Elegant Dots in the current catalog.

You can give depth to your card which will add interest by making a diorama.  It is surprisely simple and easy to do.  Note: That I was having trouble with my scoring blade not scoring and upon switching I discovered some of my new scoring blades were labeled trimmers.  I  will be watching to see which ones work.

Measurements:

2 pieces of cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ (1 white and the other colored)

Score at 1/2″, 1″, 4 1/2″, and 5″

Now that you know how to make the card, go see what other stamps you can use for the inside.

What to Buy Is the Question?

Do you have ever sit down with the Stampin’ Up! catalog and debate what to buy?  There are so many great choices in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog. Well, I did that on my June order and debated over the Sweet Cupcake and didn’t order it. Then the more I saw ideas on this stamp, the regrets set in.  Luckily my upline did order it. So I have been using hers and have fallen in love with the Sweet Cupcake.  It will be on my July 1st order.

Today’s card is part of the Paper Players Challenge. The theme is celebrate and seeing most of us celebrate birthdays, I thought this card would be perfect.   I am working on more ideas for the my PDFs to purchase including the cupcake.
