Today I used a new stamp set.  So I have a choice for you and no it is not mild or spicy, but rather Sweet Sugarplum or Peekaboo Peach. Better yet go make this card with Denim Dapper and Emerald Envy. Then post on my Facebook page  https://www.facebook.com/stampinpinkrose/

I love using stamps designed as background stamps for the main focus on a card.  You can do it with Playful Backgrounds Stamp Set. So don’t let your background stamps sit in the background, bring them out of the shadows.

Base:  Colorful card stock to coordinate with your ink.

Focus:  Colorful dots exploding on your white card stock.

Tips

Stamp Set:  Playful Backgrounds, One Big Meaning

Color Combination:  First card Sweet Sugarplum, Second card Peekaboo Peach

Ink:  Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach

Paper: Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, Whisper White, Vellum

Embellishment: Pearl Basic Jewels

Accessories: Butterfly Thinlits, Big Shot, Die Brush

Note:  The magnetic plate has changed and there is a new Big Shot Platform that is to be used with the intricate dies.  #142802  You will still need the Die Brush for tiny pieces.

Do you know someone that needs cheering up?  Here is a special get well card.  My mother loved birds and I have always loved the  birds.  So I keep my feeders full to attract the birds.  So when Stampin’ Up! came out with the bird stamp,  I had to have it. Better yet to make it easy, there was a framelit to match. With so many different kinds of birds, you choose your colors. Stampin’ Up! makes this fool proof!

Base:  Dapper Denim to bring out the blue in the bird.

Focus:  The colorful bird sitting on a branch.

Tips

Stamp Set:  Best Birds, Sheltering Tree

Color Combination:  Soft Suede, Denim Dapper, Crushed Curry (beak)

 

Ink: Archival Black, Soft Suede, Denim Dapper, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz (You will need the markers of Denim Dapper, Pear Pizzazz, and Crushed Curry to color the bird.)

Paper:  Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Black, Denim Dapper

Embellishment: Dimensionals

Accessories: Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (retired)*,Big Shot, Layering Circles Framelits, Birds and Blooms Thinlits, Trimmer

Today’s video is an Easel Card using the Sweet Cupcake Stamp Set and framel

 

The measurements are 4 1/4″ x 11″ for your card base.  I chose to use Sweet Sugarplum.  You will score at 2 3/4″ and 5 1/2″The decorated part of the card is 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. In my case is Smoky Slate.  The white part that you raise up on dimensionals is 2 1/4″ x 3 3/4″.
