Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects using our favorite Stampin’ Up! And, the amazing selection of embellishments provides a wonderful finished look to our projects. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

Stampin’ Up! makes us look like a pro with all the designer series paper and how coordinates with the ink and card stock.  One of my favorite Designer Series paper is the Fruit Stand with all the delicious looking fruit like the lemons and strawberries.

Look Who’s Checking In?

Stampin’ Up! Friendship card made with Pretty Kitty stamp set and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinpinkrose.com #stampinpinkrose

I am a sucker for animals (particularly cats).  So look who’s is checking in to say hello.  The Stampin’ Up! Pretty Kitty stamp set is adorable.  Of course, if you prefer dogs Bella and Friends is a available.  However, let us not talk about dogs because it upsets Miss Kitty.  After all, she is the star of the show.

This is a Pals Arts Challenge.  So when you are done with this post come back here and click on here to see other great ideas.

*I used Early Espresso to stamp the kitty, but you could use Archival Black.  I would not use Dapper Denim as it is too bright and dominants.

Accessories:  Layering Ovals, Banner Triple, Trimmer, Blender Pen

Note: The scallop is 3 1/4″ and the non scallop is 3″ in length.

What Inspires You?

Stampin’ Up! birthday card made with Wetlands stamp set and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinpinkrose.com #stampinpinkrose

I wonder what inspires you? For me lately, we have been having beautiful sunsets here which have inspired me to create this card. The goose from Wetlands offers the perfect focus to showcase the sunset.  This card will be perfect to add to my masculine group of cards.  I am getting ready for a show on Saturday.  We have Jazz in July in the Des Moines area and vendors are allowed to sell their craft items.

To create this  sunset, it is a simple process of sponging the Crushed Curry and adding the Cajun Craze to the bottom of the goose.  You will add just a touch of Cajun Craze above.

Base:  Sahara Sand

Focus: The goose stamped on Whisper White and the colors added by sponging.

Tips
