For me when I saw Stampin’ Up! Baby Bear it was love at first site and I can’t bear to be without him. This is not just a baby card! Think about the occasions for this card plus you are not restricted to a brown bear. Look and see what I mean. The Baby Bear is a three step process. Do remember you are starting with the lightest to the darkest. You start with the solid colored bear first.

Base: The Patriotic color is Denim Dapper paper with coordinated stripes.

Focus: The Patriotic bear all dressed for the 4th of July.

Today I need to get in another design challenge. This time it is with Global Design Project with an emphasis on color. Their color choice was Sweet Sugarplum and Night of Navy with Whisper White. To me the Sweet Sugarplum and Night of Navy are a perfect match. So I chose to use Gift of Love stamp set which is part of the Host choice. To keep it delicate I did use Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder which is retired. You could use Elegant Dots in the current catalog.

Giving Depth to Your Card

You can give depth to your card which will add interest by making a diorama. It is surprisely simple and easy to do. Note: That I was having trouble with my scoring blade not scoring and upon switching I discovered some of my new scoring blades were labeled trimmers. I will be watching to see which ones work.
