A New Beginning

Summer is a time for Weddings which I think of as a new beginning.  So thought it was time to put Stampin’ Up! First Sight Stamp Set to use.  Now I chose to use the  retired color Lost Lagoon, but you could easily substitute Marina Mist or Mint Macaron in for the color.  Your other option would be to choose the couple’s wedding colors. I added the Very Vanilla Lace Trim which adds a delicate look.  So so perfect for a wedding card.

Base: Lost Lagoon with Very Vanilla cardstock

Focus: The delicate swirls in Lost Lagoon

Look Who Is Still Around?

I hope everyone is set for the Fourth of July.  I can’t believe we are almost halfway through the summer.  As you know I have been working on Foxy Friends this week and loving the stamp set.  So I thought it would be fitting to have a Card Fold Friday with the fox. Excuse the clothes pin.  I needed it to hold the card closed for the picture.

Bringing out the Best

You can bring out the best by adding embossing to a card for background it can add so much.  In this card I used a flower embossing folder.   I am sorry I can’t remember the name of the folder.  So I would suggest using Petal Burst.  By the way if anyone recognizes the folder, email me. The idea in this card is to keep it subtle and let the butterfly speak for itself.   So here is my PPA Challenge.   http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/pp301-sketch-challenge-from-joanne.html   Why don’t you play along, but better yet join my dynamic team. My team thinks fun is the name of the game.
