Circle Spinner Card

Stampin’ Up! Birthday card made with From Land to Sea and Seaside Shore stamp sets and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinkrose.com #stampinkpinkrose #etsycardstrulyheart

This a fun card to make because it is an interactive card.   So let us make a Circle Spinner Card. You can decorate it the way you want. Which means you can use just about any stamp set and make it for any occasion.

As you see I chose an ocean theme using From Land to Sea for the turtle and the Seaside Shore for the fish. The party hat came from Little Cuties.

Using Scraps

Stampin’ Up! Birthday card made with Suite Sayings stamp set and designed by Demo Pamela Sadler. See more cards at stampinkrose.com #stampinkpinkrose #etsycardstrulyheart

How many of you have scraps of the beautiful Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper?  I am hearing a lot of yes.   Don’t you hate to throw them out even when they are so small?  Even the 1  3/4″ squares are perfect for this project.

Today’s Paper Player’s Challenge was a sentiment in the middle.  So I was able to partner it with those scraps which turned this card into a beautiful birthday card.  Now, are you going to look at those small scraps the same way?

Check out this site for other great ideas.  http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.co.uk/

Tips and Tricks

Colors:  I chose Tangerine Tango because it works with the print in my Designer Series Paper.  All pattern and work out from there. you need to do is pick one

Stamp Set: I needed just the right words for a birthday card and I found Suite Sayings had it.  This stamp set has so many great words and phrases. You will find it useful for many different occasions. Sadly, it is retiring. So you need to take a second look and order it today. The Retirement List is shrinking.  Ordering is easy because all you need to do is click here https://www.stampinup.com/ecweb/default.aspx

  • Suite Sayings

Ink:  Because I used a retired Navy Blue ribbon, I decide to use the lease used color and continue it with the Navy Blue color.

  • Night of Navy

Paper:  Remember your Designer Series Paper color and to tie it with it.

  • Tangerine Tango
  • Whisper White

Designer Series Paper:  Whatever scraps you have.

Accessories: Give that plain orange some textured. The one I chose will be retiring.

  • Falling Petals Textured Embossing Folder
  • Big Shot
  • Trimmer
  • Lots of Labels Framelits

By the way, I am changing the schedule of my post. Right now I am scheduling the card fold video on Saturdays.

Video Plus Swaps

First, I want to apologize for yesterday.  I was planning a video.  Guess what? I could not find the stamp set.  I searched high and low, then last night at midnight I found it. It was staring at me on the shelf. Can I blame it on allergies? Watery eyes. So today you get an extra special treat.  I have the technique video for you and some swaps.

Stampin’ Up! On Stage was a couple of weeks ago and what do Stampin’ Up?! Do demonstrators? We swap cards. What a wonderful way to get ideas! So I am going to show you some ideas.  Our next On Stage will be in November and it will here sooner than you think.  I know you are thinking; that you do Stampin’ Up! as a hobby.  That is what a lot of these demonstrators are….. hobbyist.  Did you know over 95% of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are hobbyist and they attend On Stage?  So why not join?

So come join my team and start having fun while saving.   It is as simple as clicking here http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/pinkrose/jointhefun and get $120 products for $99.

Now here is the video.  I think it is important to know your colors and some depth or dimension to your cards.  Playing with them will help you become more comfortable and mixing them up.
