Hopefully, you watched my video that I posted on Saturday. It was a Pop-Up card using the stamp set Magical Day.  It is one of my favorites out of the Occasions Catalog.  I think the dragon might be one of my favorite images out of this set. Either way, there is something magical about this stamp. Maybe it isn’t magical about babies, but I need to show this picture of my second grandbaby.  His name is Bransen and is not quite 6 months old.

I need to be fair and show a photo of his older brother who is 5 years old.  They grow up so quickly.  He will start kindergarten in the Fall.

I hoped you enjoyed a peek into my world. Now onto the magical card for today.  There is more of a girly card on my Facebook page. However, the dragon and wizard will work for either sex. I just think mermaids as a girl card.

I want to call attention to the coloring the dragon. On this card, I used the Old Olive in Blends.  There is no Lemon-Lime Twist in the Blends.  Go back and look at my video. In that one, I used the Blender Pens with Lemon Lime Twist.  See which one you prefer.  I think I prefer the Lemon-Lime Twist version. I would love to hear your comments.  By way, don’t hesitate to comment on my projects that is what is great about stamping. Everyone has their own take on it.

Pop Up Card Video

It is time for our first card fold of 2018.  I love surprising the receiver when they open their card. So Pop Up will give them a surprise and squeal of delight.  It is simple to do.  Your inside of the card will measure 4″ x 8″. Fold at 4″.  Your silts are 3/4″ in from each side. The silts are 3/4″ and the center one is 1 1/4″ up on your paper.  Then fold and add your images.

Winter Woes Cure with the Orchid

I know many of you have been dealing less than ideal winter.  We have been dealing with subzero days since the first of the year.  In I just heard tonight Anchorage has been warmer than we have been.  Ridiculous! I know the east coast is getting worst than us with snow, wind, and subzero moving in.  So I thought we needed a breath of fresh air.  So I chose Climbing Orchid to help with winter woes. I think it creates beautiful flowers.   See what I mean.  By the way, it is not difficult.  You need to stamp the petals and layer them.
