This is great for the chef in your life whether you are male or female.  Do you have a male cook in your life?  I called my oldest son on Valentine’s Day to wish him a Happy Valentine’s Day. I asked what he was doing? He said that he was preparing a candlelight dinner for his fiancee.  I asked what he was fixing.  This is the menu.  Steak with sauteed mushrooms, garlic mashed potatoes, tossed salad with homemade Thousand Dressing, and Cheesecake for dessert.  I guess I taught him well. One of his Christmas gifts every year is a subscription to Taste of Home magazine that he loves.

You know this works as a concept card because you could use it for Father’s Day or Thinking of You.  Maybe you are sending a recipe to a friend. Why not send a card with it.  Also, if you have someone graduating from cooking school this would be a perfect card. We have a very active Culinary School in the Des Moines area

My question today is “what are you making? ”  Are you preparing for future holidays or trying to get caught up with birthday cards? I always love for you to comment on what you are creating.  You can do that below. Please don’t hesitate.  I changed gears for a little bit to make some Mother’s Day cards for Etsy.  Most of what I used is current with the exception of the Mother’s Day greeting.  It is retired, but there are plenty of other Mother’s Day greetings available, but don’t stop there. This card is what I call a concept card. You might call it a template because it works for Birthday, Get Well, Thank You, and Thinking of You.  Don’t like the pink. Then change the color because you can use many other colors from the Fresh Florals Designer Series

As spring approaches numerous holidays bound onto the calendar.   I know Easter is first, but Mother’s Day will be here before you know it.  So I decided to get a little of a head start on it.  In case, you didn’t know it, I have quite a business on Etsy.  So I have some customers already asking for Mother’s Day.  As I was going through my current DSP, I noticed I have quite a bit of Delightful Daisy DSP.  So that is the card for today. If you don’t need it as a Mother’s Day card, just change it to Happy Birthday, Get Well, or Thinking of You.

However, before we move on I have created two new boards on Pinterest. They are Take a Second Look and Gone, But Not Forgotten.  I think pins can get a little buried. So sometimes I will repost a card I did a while back.  At the time of the posting it, the stamp set was current.  The other one is Gone, But Not Forgotten.  This is stamps that have retired at the time of my posting.  These are definitely retired stamps.  However, because I still use these stamps (particularly on Etsy) I like to share what I have created.  So I hope you will seek out these boards and watch how they grow. I have not decided if I will move the cards from one board to the next when the stamps retire.  You can find all my links at the bottom of this post.
