My hard drive went out last Thursday. I had to have a new computer and get it set up. My tech guy cloned everything which took a while. I got that back on Monday. So I was typing the blog post and suddenly realized no SD card slot that I needed to load my photos. I ordered a separate SD Card Reader which is coming in today. Changing computers is such a headache.
I look forward to the blog post returning on Thursday. In the meantime, there is something special going on FREE Shipping until December 11th. I put my order in yesterday. This means some great new stamp sets including the Winterly Birds Bundle. However, I didn’t order the Humble Home stamp set. It will be on my list.
There’s no place like home—except maybe stamping at a friend’s house. Today’s projects include some beautiful homes that will inspire you to create your own amazing cards featuring adorable little neighborhoods from the Humble Home Stamp Set. We colored the twin houses in front using Stampin’ Blends, punched them out, and added them to the black and white houses to create our first cute little neighborhood.
For our stepped-up card, we brought in some Designer Series Paper for our card background, along with some die-cuts and embellishments to elevate the card. We die cut our Old Olive trees using the Peaceful Evergreens Dies. This time we used more Stampin’ Blends colors to create two different looking houses to add to our black and white houses, and we offset the colored houses for added interest. We added Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments to look like smoke coming out of one of the chimneys, the final touch for our serene second neighborhood.
Our most stepped-up card features a neighborhood that’s the envy of all neighborhoods, with plenty of trees, unique houses, and even more color. The trees in the very back were embossed using the Painted Trees 3D Embossing Folder then inked with Soft Sea Foam ink using a Sponge Dauber. Our die-cut trees feature both Garden Green and Old Olive. This time we created three different houses—two of them using the builder stamps and one house that we stamped and watercolored. Designer Series Paper shows up as the backdrop for our sentiment. And, of course, we can’t forget the small touches like ink splatter on the background, drusy smoke, and green “grass” for a perfectly manicured little neighborhood.
It is time to create your favorite neighborhood.
