I think these vases are sitting pretty on the shelf.  This is a stamp set that is sadly retiring on June 3rd. This came from my friend Mary who created it for Million Dollar sale.  I absolutely love this set.  It is called Varied Vases.

There is another stamp set that is retiring too. It is called Perennial Birthday stamp set.  I found it vital stamp set in my arsenal of stamp sets. I love it for the greetings.

Time for an Elegant Card

There are times when we need an elegant card.  The Ornate Style stamp set gives you a beautiful card that can be used for any occasion.  When you add the Ornate Layers Dies you have just made it special.

Don’t worry about creating because you are just stamping, coloring with the Blends, and cut the frame out. I choose to color with Real Red, Shaded Spruce, and Poppy Parade for the center of the flower.

For Purple Majesty (Blog Hop)

Are you wondering about the title “For Purple Majesty”?  This title came out of our song “America the Beautiful.”  If you remember there is a line that says “for purple majesty above the fruited plains.”  You see this song originated out of place called Pikes Peak.  At Pikes Peak in Colorado Springs, Colorado where you can see the Rockies quite clearly.

In case you are wondering about who wrote the song, it was Katherine Bates who had traveled from the Boston area in the late 1800s to Colorado on a train.  She was a professor at Amherst College and had taken a vacation by herself.  I have a book about this song. It is one of my favorites.

To me, the mountains have a calming effect.  I enjoy my trip to the Rockies each summer.  I think we need a calming effect in these difficult times.  I added part of the greeting from the Positive Thoughts stamp set.  It is not a difficult card to make. You stamp one set of mountains in Highland Heather and then stamp the mountains again in Gorgeous Grape.
