With graduations going on and weddings upon us and for some kids home from college, life can be hectic.  So I want you to take a moment and envision yourself somewhere on a beach, sitting in this chair.  Isn’t this relaxing?  Come make this card which I like to call a Concept Card.  This means it is for just about any occasion … thinking of you, birthday, Father’s Day.   This card you can make and leave the inside blank you are ready to send the card because there is no greeting on the outside.

This is an Aqua Painter card. So dig out your Aqua Painter and your ink as we are headed to the beach.

Tips and Tricks

Color Combination: This card used a little navy blue with a paint brush.

  • Night of Navy
  • Pacific Point
  • Marina Mist
  • Crumb cake

Stamp Set:  I used an older stamp set.  The good news is that it is not retiring.

Ink:  You will need to blend your blues.  I listed the ink pads, but you will need your reinkers.

  • Night of Navy
  • Pacific Point
  • Marina Mist
  • Crumb cake
  • Archival Black (for the birds)

Paper:

  • Whisper White
  • Crumb Cake
  • Pacific Point

Designer Series Paper:  I am calling it Designer Series paper when actually it is specialty paper…. watercolor paper.

  • Watercolor Paper (for water scene)

Accessories: Here are your tools you will need. I cut the circle that is colored one larger than the opening.

  • Seasonal Layers Thinlits
  • Layering Circles
  • Aqua Painter
  • Big Shot
  • Trimmer
  • Paint Brush (not Stampin’ Up!)
