Before I take that Spring Break, I have two challenges that I need to publish.  The first challenge is Global Project Design and the other is the Sunday Challenge which will show up on March 19th. The requirements were to use Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay, Early Espreso, and a color of my choice. So the color of my choice was Crushed Curry which I felt would compliment Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay.

As you know that I am taking a break this week. So Iwould  like to use the analogy that while the cat is away, the mice will play. In my case this mouse is in charge. It is offering  a special offer for you,  you can join my team and receive a tremendously special gift.   I can’t say what you will receive, but trust me that you will be jumping with joy.  Just find the Join My Team button and click there. When I return it will be handled.  You have till March 19th at Midnight Cental Time before the cat returns and the mouse is sent packing.

Please note that I have been playing around with the set up of my blog. I am still making some changes. If you have any comments or suggestions, please email them to me at pamela@stampinpinkrose.com.   I am here to help you enjoy your hobby.  If there is anything can do for you, please let me know. Tips and Tricks

Stamp Set: The stamp set I chose were Reverse Words and Balloon Adventure.  The Reverse Words is one of the newest Sale-a-Bration stamp sets.  The thought was Hooray was perfect to celebrate a birthday. Okay, granted not everyone likes the hoopla.  Maybe because you reach a certain age you just try to ignore.  Personally I think it is how you feel and not the number which means do you feel the same today as yesterday?

Paper: Using the Bermuda Bay dotted paper from the In Color  ties with the Reverse Words stamped in the same color. Then add the ribbon in Early Espresso with the Early Espresso paper, you are keeping everything tied together.

Ink:   Besides these colors being the requirement, the Peekaboo Peach and the Crushed Curry work well together. It is just a matter of arranging the balloons so that the colors compliment each other and don’t compete against each other.  The Early Espresso marker was used to draw the string for the balloons.

Embellishment: White Baker’s Twine is ther versitile for your different projects. Checkout my technique below.  You will need your Sponge Daubers.  It a package or two and label them with your different color names.  Then use them only for that specific color.

  •     Sponge Daubers

Technique:  I know you wondering where the Early Espresso was used. I colored the White Baker’s Twine with Early Espresso using my Sponge Dauber.

Challenges:  They are so much fun to do you because it gets you thinking outside the box.  However, if you need directions, challenges can do that too because of the structure.  Some require  certain colors or layouts.  The one on Sunday is not really a challenge, but a place we can showcase a card.  I pick out a card that I think that it came out particularly well and yes kind of a favorite.  Right now I am really liking the Reverse Word stamp because it makes it so easy to create a card.

Accessories:  The Balloon Bouquest has two sizes of balloons you can punch out. I chose to use only the larger one.  Don’t foget your Stampin’ Up! Trimmer.
