A Flower to Brighten Someone’s Day

I trust everyone had a great Memorial Day.  Between the rain I was able to attend a baseball game and work in the yard.  On Sunday and Monday with the rain, I was able to get some cards done and catch up on Social Media.

Here is one of the cards I created over the weekend.  It is from the new 2015-2016 Annual Catalog.   The Stampin’ Up stamp is called Best Thoughts. I feel this is a very versatile stamp and can be used for multiple occasions.  The flower will brighten someone’s day by showing you care.  I chose to make it understated by using black and a touch of marine blue paper which was embossed. Best Thoughts 1 To create this card:

1)   Cut Whisper White cardstock  5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and fold at 4 1/4″ (base)

2)  Cut black cardstock 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2 and adhere to white base which you have stamped the flower randomly on the white cardstock.  I used a black theme.  You decide the color.

3)  Cut Marine Mist cardstock to 3 1/2″ x 4 1/2″ and emboss with Stampin’ Up! Spring Flowers Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (Occasions Catalog)

4) Cut White cardstock 3 2/8″ x 4 2/8″ and stamp with the Best Thoughts stamp and add your greeting

5) Adhere to Marine Mist paper and adhere to card

6) Adhere the smaller white cardstock you have stamped with the flower

Note: On this card I chose the theme of black and used black ink. The Gifts of Kindness I used for the Thank You greeting.
